You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God....on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. (Matthew 16:18)
The Little Church
This poem captures the spirit that has enabled West Milford Church to faithfully follow Jesus for more than a century.
I found a dandy church today,
It wasn’t large or fine.
It was just a very common one
That caught this heart of mine.
I found a welcome warm and true
I heard the people pray.
I had a glow down deep inside
As I went on my way.
I sensed they knew the Master,
And in their love for Him...
They sought to shed that love abroad,
That others might win.
O yes, I found a little church
Concerned for others needs.
I felt that I had worshiped God,
My heart was warmed, indeed.
It’s not a marble structure tall
With spires toward heavens blue
That makes a church, but sincere folk
Who strive God’s will to do.
